Danish Comic in English Wrapping?

Yeah, I tried to construct a tag line to encompass the fact that it is an english comic on a danish website. As it is a danish comic I want to keep it as available in that language as possible, even though the comic itself is written in english.

Another reason is to avoid people being scared away by the user comments in danish.

The name.

FoE was made up in a hurry, as I had to come up with a name for the web host to create the comic page. Obviously, it is derived from the Lord of the Rings title, The Fellowship of the Ring. I do realise that it will present a problem when the movie is done, since there will be no sequel to the movie the comic is based upon.

This Resembles Something.

Indeed it does. This comic is entirely inspired by the webcomic Darths and Droids. It is intended as a tribute to their comic and to the D&D movie comic genre in general, though it will take a long time to reach their level of comic creating skills.

If you want to call it rip-off, go ahead. I simply respecfully disagree. ;)

Characters.

Originally I only intended to have the three players: Chris (The GM), Sean (Mainly Brom) and Cody (Eragon), but I came to realise that a fourth character was required, as it would be the best way to control Saphira. Thus Zoey was introduced. It is my wish to keep the player group at this level, as it yields more space for character development.

The GM

As in the greater sires of D&D movie comics, Darths & Droids and DM of the Rings, the GM plays an important role. He defines the game, and therefore the comic in general. In DM of the Rings we saw a GM bent on keeping his players on preset tracks. Then in Darths & Droids, the GM was more interested in entertaining the players by yieldind to their ideas.

In FoE I chose a third type of GM. A first-timer. As I have never played D&D myself (Yes, a bit odd) I could hardly create an experienced GM. Thus I made a team of first time players and GM, framing the comic as the first game they ever play.
